Enterprise Ireland’s new strategy includes several targets in order to nurture a more accessible start-up ecosystem.
Armed with a new strategy, Enterprise Ireland aims to “foster a more diverse, equitable and accessible entrepreneurial landscape” in Ireland.
Among the plans is the potential development of a new national accelerator programme to assist globally ambitious entrepreneurs and start-ups, new programmes to encourage greater engagement from underrepresented groups and three new international Enterprise Ireland offices – including one in Atlanta, which opened earlier this week.
Speaking to SiliconRepublic.com, the agency’s executive director Jenny Melia said she believes that Irish enterprise can become the primary economic driver in the economy.
