Irish entrepreneurs speaking at an Enterprise Ireland event told us about their business challenges and the ongoing talent crunch.
While Irish start-ups and companies have remained optimistic despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges, one issue seems to be universal: the difficulty in finding the right talent.
“The biggest challenge for us is probably hiring. We are forced to go to other markets to hire people to scale faster to keep up with our ambition,” Teamwork CEO Peter Coppinger told SiliconRepublic.com at Enterprise Ireland’s International Markets Week event in October.
Vivian Farrell, CEO of medtech company Modular Automation, echoed some of Coppinger’s concerns. “We’ve been really busy, I suppose, in ensuring that we have everything that we need in place to retain and keep people as happy as we can on site.”
