The pioneering Teen-Turn initiative aims to convince more girls to pursue careers in technology by pairing students with mentors at local companies.
Ringsend College, Dublin is one of five DEIS schools to participate in the pilot Teen-Turn scheme, where female students work as interns with women working in local IT companies.
Transition-year students Chloe McDonnell and Laura Byrne worked with Laura Murphy and Dovile Janusauskaite from Murex for two weeks. During the programme, they took on a project to redesign a website and improve the user experience.
