Lauren Morris, head of IoT at Vodafone Ireland, discusses the role IoT will have in Ireland in the future, how prepared we are as a whole for the connected revolution and how infrastructural cooperation is key.
Connectivity is key, but it also takes an awful lot of planning and extensive teamwork. But will Irish companies be ready for an IoT-filled future?
“I hope so,” said Morris. “There are still companies who don’t see the relevancy. Those who do are in traditional sectors served by IoT: energy, utilities, security, smart cities etc. But it’s relevant in retail, agriculture and health, too.”
Morris wants to see more companies across various industries seek the competitive advantages that IoT will bring.
